When you register for CodeDown we collect information such as your name and email address. We use this information for identification and authorization of users, and to send notification emails.

CodeDown allows you to upload files to our servers so that they can be used as part of a CodeDown project. These files are stored alongside the documents you create when using the service.

Information we collect will never be shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Cookies

CodeDown uses cookies, which are small data files stored by the web browser on your device. The cookie helps us to remember your current session and control logging in and logging out. If cookies are disabled, most functionality of CodeDown will not work.

Data storage

All data and computations on CodeDown are stored and run on a third-party cloud service platform, currently Amazon Web Services. You retain all rights to your data.

We reserve the right to monitor all content and remove any content that we determine to be illegal, harmful, or otherwise in violation of the operating policies of CodeDown or its service providers.

Credit cards and billing

We use a third-party payment processor, Stripe, to process credit card transactions. Your billing information is passed directly to Stripe and is never stored on CodeDown's servers.

COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act)

CodeDown does not knowingly market to or collect information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that a child has provided us with personal information without their consent, he or she should contact support@codedown.io and we will delete such information.

Changes

We are committed to conducting our business in accordance with these principles in order to ensure that the confidentiality of personal information is protected and maintained. CodeDown may change this privacy policy from time to time at CodeDown's sole discretion.

Payments, Refunds, and Cancellation

CodeDown sandboxes are billed in advance on a monthly basis and bills are non-refundable. Sandbox subscriptions may be cancelled at any time from the profile page. Once a subscription is cancelled, you may lose access to features or data connected to that sandbox. CodeDown does not accept any liability for such loss.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State or location.
